The residential complex of Città del Sole, requested by the Municipality of Rome, stem from the need to redevelop an abandoned bus depot of ATAC located in the city suburbs near the new Triburtina station.

Studio Labics aimed at creating a new centre for the local community, which at that time had a weak identity but high growth potential thanks to its strategic position near the city centre.
Nowadays, this construction is in harmony with the surroundings. It combines offices, retail and residential areas.

The complex includes three buildings placed over public spaces: the first one contains offices while the other two are for residential use. They differ in shape and cladding.
The first building consists of a tower with small and medium flats, partially covered by a glass horizontal brise soleil.

The second one, known as “Villa”, hosts luxury duplex apartments, and it is clad with aluminium panels coated with RAL 9010 Class 2 powder. These panels function as sun protection systems and create a pleasant effect.
