Officina della Scrittura is the first museum in the world to be entirely devoted to the history of writing, showing all its evolutionary path.

Part of a thousand-year-old building, it is located near to the Abbey of Stura. The oldest part, including the bell tower, the cloister and the church’s apses is sided by the most recent one.

The museum realization took two years. More than 2,500 m² of interior spaces have been totally restored to create a multimedia itinerary inside each room.
For the exterior, the designer adopted a preservative approach. Decoral^® Group has been involved in the phase of replacement of old windows with brand new aluminium thermally broken frames: bounded by the Ministry of cultural heritage, we opted for a special finish, thus retaining the shape of the arched windows and its original appearance.
