RiverWalk

Stanton Williams Architects designed this residential complex on the River Thames in the heart of London.
The building is composed of “strata”: curved horizontal bands of limestone at each floor level that alternate with bronze aluminium and glass bands to form windows and balconies. The peculiar structure of the façade which sets back on the upper floors allows penthouses to enjoy large terraces while giving architectural definition to the building roof.

This project involved also an important investment in the public realm.
The walkway along the river has been widened thus improving the landscape. The car and cycle parking as well as building plant and technical services have been placed below ground. In this way, the purity of the building’s architecture is fully expressed.

The envelope consists of triple glazing unitised system, opaque panels, lift and sliding doors and tilt and turn windows. Decoral® Group has coated the aluminium parts with two different powders: Champagne C31 class 2 - Bronze C34 class 1.
