Reale Mutua Sports and Recreation Center in Turin consists of sports, recreation and entertainment facilities for employees. It covers an area of about 18000 square meters where there are also buildings designed by Picco Architetti. Verniciatura Industriale Veneta, one of our subsidiaries, powder coated part of the metal elements of the façade, more precisely window frames and surrounds.

Verniciatura Industriale Veneta powder coated the elements of the façade with 8019 textured finish, which roughly corresponds to dark brown.

Powder coating was applied on window frames and surrounds so as to ensure a long-lasting effect.

Reale Mutua Sports and Recreation Center features modern buildings and a big green area. On the north front, windows are fixed inside a recess within the wall, this way highlighting depth. On the south front, a large veranda accompanies the glazed façade and opens to the green area.

The big glass windows bring light into the building and helps to reduce energy costs.

As explained by Reale Mutua top managers, employees are the project’s focus. Besides being a sport center, this area was designed as a gathering, meeting space where employees can “come together as a team”, as Luca Filippone, the CEO of the Turin insurance company, said.

The main purpose is to welcome the employees and their families, especially kids who can be introduced to several sports like soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball and beach volleyball. All the courts are provided with floodlights. The first floor of the building houses a gym and a meeting room, while in the basement there are the changing rooms for sports fields.

Mr Filippone stated that “Sport certainly has an immense impact on people’s health and wellbeing, but it is also a fantastic training ground for life as you learn to interact with others, to work as a team and overcome tough times. These essential life skills that sports teach us should be taken also into work”.
