The project involving CEAT former factory is one of the intervention that has transformed Aurora District, giving new life to the abandoned factories. It is located in the block among Corso Regio Parco, Via Pisa, Corso Palermo (North-west corner), Via Foggia and Via Parma, where CEAT had its factory of electrical cables and the administrative offices until a few decades ago.

Studio Rolla, together with Vittorio Neirotti architect, carried out this project which is now one of the best example of building restoration in Turin.
Inside this regular structure there are 60 lofts with different dimensions, a kind of house much appreciated by architects in Turin.

The two distinctive features of this intervention are the inner courtyard and, above all, the 12 urban villas on the roof. They recall two key elements of the Turinese architecture, which are the city block, with its internal regular space, and the dormers, typical of the roofs of the 19^th century buildings.
Some of the construction techniques used are innovative: the villas are covered by metal effect panels that provide thermal insulation, while the low-emissivity glass windows have electronically adjustable bulkheads. The designers put lot of attention on new insulation methods and eco-friendly solutions: apart Low-E windows, groundwater also contributes to cool the environments.

Decoral^® Group has powder coated the aluminium components of the façades, of the casement and sliding windows, with finishes tailored to designers’ needs.
